FAQs

Got a question? We’re here to help.

  • Preparing for the photoshoot

It is important for your doggo to feel comfortable in a new unfamiliar setting so please feel free to bring their favorite items from home (toys, treats, bones, beds etc.) If you would props in your photos, please bring whatever you'd like to use for session. The only items provided by KBS are one pair of glasses, a bubble machine, a Kong Ball, and peanut butter.

Grooming is highly encouraged a week or two before the shoot so your dog looks their very best! If your dog is really fluffy make sure to tell the groomer to do some good trimming around the eyes so we can see those beautiful peepers in the photos.

  • Day of shoot: What to expect.

All of our sessions are done in a private enclosed studio room with no one allowed in or out once the shoot has begun. Your pet will be off leash with no collar so this is a very important safety measure.

Once your dog has adjusted to the room, I will introduce myself and start introducing them to the camera and lights. After they are comfortable, we will play a little bit and begin capturing the best photos of your pet.

  • After the photoshoot

There is a three to four-week turnaround period for edited photos - once they are finished, I will email you 15 photos to choose your 10 digital photos from (Pup package) or all 20 edited photos (Doggo package).

After this, you can select which specialty items you'd like to purchase along with any prints you'd like to order. This will be done via email exchange.

  • I can't choose just 10 photos. HELP!

Based on your package you will be choosing 10 or 15 final photos from the edits I send you. If you find that you just can't choose because you love them all... No worries!

For an extra fee of $100 you don't have to narrow it down, you can have them all!

  • May I be in the photos?

After the session is finished, you are welcome to get a couple of keepsake snaps with your pet. I will have you pick the best two for editing on the spot and those will be delivered with the rest of your edited photos at no extra charge. I believe the bond you have with your pet should be memorialized forever and I can't possibly charge for that because it's priceless, IMO.

  • Can I bring another dog?

Yes! A second dog is an additional $100, max 2 dogs per session!

**Note: Your session time will be split between the two pets and we need to know two weeks in advance of your shoot so we can make sure to have extra studio hands that day.

  • How do you pick the background color?

You help me! I will present the colors I have and you can choose which one you think will be best. I reserve the right to change it if doesn't photograph well during the session based on your pet's coloring.

If I don't have the color you want, you are able to pay a small fee for any color and I will provide it.

  • Do you photograph cats?

You know how cats don't like water? Well, they also think my camera is going to steal their soul. Unless your cat is super chill, I am not sure they will appreciate the kind of flash photography we love.

  • Do you do outdoor photography?

Yes! We are working on offering outdoor shoots and will travel with a travel fee for outdoor shoots.

  • Oh No! I need to reschedule!

You can reschedule up to 7 days before your photoshoot and your deposit will transfer.

If you reschedule within 6 days of your photoshoot your deposit will be forfeited.

The deposit is non-refundable for cancellations of any kind.
